Welding plays a critical role in nearly everything we build at Entech - providing the strength, precision, and durability needed to bring complex, custom-engineered projects to life. From large-scale themed elements to intricate architectural features, expertly executed welds are what hold it all together - literally and creatively.

In this month’s edition of Entech: In the Spotlight, we’re showcasing this essential capability and the person leading the charge: Shop Foreman Theo Cecrle. With decades of experience and a passion for craftsmanship, Theo’s leadership and skill ensure every weld meets the highest standards.

At Entech, welding is far more than fusing metal—it's about creating the structural backbone of experiences that endure. Whether it's a delicate ornamental feature or a massive support frame, our team approaches each weld with care, technical skill, and a deep understanding of the project’s unique demands.

What We Do Best

  • Precision Craftsmanship: Every weld is executed with accuracy, ensuring structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and long-term reliability by a certified welder.

  • Versatility: From stainless steel and aluminum to carbon steel, our team is equipped to weld a wide range of materials, using techniques suited to each project’s specifications.

  • Durability: Entech’s welding processes are designed to meet the rigors of themed environments, outdoor exposure, and heavy visitor use—ensuring our work holds strong in both form and function.

The Process

Our welding process begins long before the first spark.

  • After careful material selection and design collaboration with engineering, each weld is planned and executed to meet strict tolerances and design intent.

  • Our skilled fabricators follow precise procedures, often combining traditional and modern techniques to meet both visual and structural goals.

  • Final inspection and quality checks ensure everything meets or exceeds the AWS (American Welding Society) requirements of the project, down to the finest detail.

What Sets Us Apart

What makes Entech’s welding truly distinctive is the intersection of technical precision and artistic intent.

  • We’re experienced in handling one-of-a-kind fabrications, large and small, including decorative and load-bearing pieces for theme parks, museums, and public spaces.

  • Our welders and fabricators are often involved early in the process, bringing practical insight into design decisions and building strategies.

  • With an in-house AWS certified team capable of both high-performance and highly customized welds, we can pivot between complexity and creativity with ease.

Meet  Theo Cercle, Entech’s Shop Foreman and a true master of the craft with nearly 50 years of welding and fabrication experience.

Theo joined Entech six years ago as a welder and quickly rose through the ranks to lead our fabrication floor as a shop foreman. Today, he oversees the entire shop team, guiding complex builds and mentoring in-house talent to uphold the highest standards in welding and fabrication. “I’ve done just about every job on the floor - welding, painting, finishing, buying, selling... you name it,” he says.

His expertise spans a wide array of industries, from welding in the automotive and aircraft sectors to contributing to defense and aerospace projects for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and even NASA. That real-world knowledge is now passed down to the next generation of fabricators at Entech, as Theo trains welders in-house to become AWS certified.

What keeps Theo motivated after nearly five decades in the field? The creative and ever-changing nature of Entech’s work. “Almost every piece we build is one-of-a-kind. That keeps the mind busy and the work fresh,” he explains. But that uniqueness is also what makes it so challenging. “With new ideas and new parts on nearly every project, it’s a constant learn-as-you-go process.”

One of the most memorable projects Theo has overseen was the fabrication of a larger-than-life Statue of Liberty replica for Margaritaville Times Square. “The scale nearly reached our shop ceiling, and it brought together welding, fiberglass, and scenic work over the course of eight months,” he recalls. Like many of Entech’s large-scale pieces, it couldn’t be fully assembled until the installation day - making precision and planning absolutely critical.

Theo’s approach to welding is grounded in discipline and foresight. “Before I start anything, I tell myself, ‘You’re about to do something wrong,’” he says with a laugh. That mindset helps him stay alert to potential issues before they arise. He visualizes the entire project, working backwards in his head before ever touching a piece. It’s this attention to detail and forward-thinking mindset that makes Theo a leader not only in skill, but in philosophy.

Entech’s welding capabilities are the backbone of many of our most iconic and complex projects - and leaders like Theo make that possible. From precision fabrication to large-scale assemblies, our welders bring experience, craftsmanship, and creativity to every build.
